Avishai Kantor

Mr. Kantor is the Executive Vice President and Co-Director of Research. He specializes in long/short equity and derivatives trading. In addition, he is a member of the firm’s investment committee. Mr. Kantor has over 25 years of experience in financial markets and the investment management industry. Mr. Kantor’s experience provides Sensus with strong proven fundamental knowledge of the technology ecosystem coupled with financial analytical capabilities, resulting with an in-house forward looking valuation capabilities. He worked at top global investment banks as well as leading U.S. firms including Bear Stearns, CIBC Oppenheimer, Piper Jaffray, and Cowen and Company. Prior to joining Sensus in 2019, Mr. Kantor was a Sector Head and Senior Analyst at Cowen for 14 years. At Cowen, Mr. Kantor was the head and senior analyst of SMID Cap Business Services, Digital Services, FinTech, IT Services, and Insurance IT equity research. In this role, Mr. Kantor was one of the first senior Wall St. analysts to cover and develop the emerging Digital Services sector. Previous equity research roles include deep coverage of telecom, defense electronics, enterprise software, and diversified technologies industries.

Mr. Kantor’s research always focused on direct actionable calls for public and private companies. Additionally, Mr. Kantor has extensive experience in investment banking transactions. He holds a BA from Tel-Aviv University, and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He is a competitive tennis player.
